Hello Everyone, MnSue here with Young Living's essential oil blend called "Thieves®".
I find it kind of fun to look at my hand cleanser and see, Thieves® on the bottle. Yah, whatever you do, don't run off with my hand cleanser as I love the smell of it and what all it can do for one, personally for health and also the cleansing ability around the home.
Today, after being gone most of the weekend, Friday and Saturday and majority of Sunday, I felt like the house really needed a cleaning from the ground up! So out came the broom, the vacuum and then the mop & bucket. The Thieves® household cleaner was next! With this cleaner you can wash walls, windows, floors, bathrooms, kitchens, laundry and more! The smell is fantastic and so uplifting. So not only do you get the uplifting benefit from the aromatic scent of the cleaner, you also get healthy benefits of what each of the essential oils do that are in the Thieves® (clove, cinnamon bark, rosemary, lemon and Eucalyptus radiata). I will not list them all here but in another blog on the personal health benefits of Thieves® essential oil blend. I feel so much better using these with children in the home, a pet and also a grandbaby who is starting to move around more, at 10 months old!
Thieves® household cleaner made with Young Living essential oils, tells you that the oils are unadulterated, uncut, and free of of chemicals, pesticides and heavy metals. The finished product is 100% pure, through quality plants and meticulous preparation and not through ultra-refinement. The new formula is 100% plant and mineral-bases ingredients. In this cleaner it has vegetable based surfactants that are compliant with Green Seal and EPA Design for Environment(DfE) standards. I feel with this great product on the market and how many illnesses go around every year, simple preventatives with all natural cleaners makes for a happier and healthier home! (*Information from Young Livings Item #3490 v.4)
I love the idea of cleaning my home with a product that does not have chemicals that get left on the surfaces of the floors, counters, tubs, windows and more that can harm all of us, in not just immediate illnesses but the long term affects over time. More and more studies are coming out, that what we eat, breath or touch(through the skin) can be found in our cells, of our bodies. So, in other words, if you cannot put the cleaner on your skin, or it is harmful if eaten why would you clean with it, when your body is in a sense, eating it, through breathing it?
I love the Thieves® spray bottle. It can go with you wherever you go. My favorite use for it is the toilet seat! Spray the seat and the water...two fold purpose! One to clean the seat off, let air dry and then when it hits the water, it freshens the air, when you are done using the toilet, after you flush! This can replace your "Poopourri" for those of you Poopourri fans out there! Furthermore, it cleans the inside of your toilet on a continuous basis when in use, in the bathroom, naturally! ;)
Again, if you find mold spores in your bathroom, I have found if I spray the Thieves® on it....watch out! You will wish all your cleaning jobs were so easy! I can not say enough about the cleaning with Thieves® and how much of a difference it has made in my life but as you can tell by this blog...I love it. Try it, you just might find a few more uses than I do!

The Basics of Essential Oils
Hello MnSue here again!!
It seems like we cannot get enough of snow here in Minnesota! :) It has been snowing those big light fluffy flakes!
Back to the subject here, the basics.
What I am trying to tell you, is to keep it simple and basic.
I have noticed on all these health issues we seem to get lost with all the "medical Jargon" of a diagnosis and do not use common sense. We all have been there and get lost in the shuffle of it, including myself! I got upset with myself. Here is an example;
My son was diagnosed with narcolepsy. What this translates simply to, is that he will fall asleep, anytime and anywhere. Dangerous, yes! Scary, yes! What can one do? The doctor prescribed a med that will cost out of pocket of $180 a month, yes a month!! Arghh! I had to think about this, so I asked the pharmacist if there were other options. Not really, he said, other than having the doctor contact your insurance company and let them know this is the only prescription he wants your son on. So, we did. We were denied. Do we want to pay the $180 a month, or the other options I had to start thinking of? One option was another medicine, with way too many side affects not good for anyone! The second one was, natural alternatives.
Don't you stop and think what could one do with $180 in natural alternatives? I sure did, my antenna went up.
Sue, you are already on a fantastic one, Young Living essential oils."Research it, girl!" I was telling myself!!
I have this book called, " Reference Guide for Essential Oils" by Connie and Alan Higley. Updated version April/2010, the 12th version. It has been put together very well. The book is divided up into different area's the key ones for me are the raindrop technique, single & blended oils and the personal guide! The personal guide, is my absolute favorite area. This is where you look up so called, "health issues".
In the personal guide, within this book, you will be given suggested oils or supplements to coincide with the health condition and how to use them. Wow, yes Wow!! It is the basics, which we need to start thinking about. Essential oils have been around for a long time and have been true and tried.
Now you need to think, where do I get this and how do I buy this? Not hard at all, was it? We just need to start thinking for ourselves and what is the best option for the situation. Start healing with the basics! The basics of Essential Oils.
From this book, I have learned what oils can be applied, I researched online what each oil does, after reading from the book, to learn more to help this particular health issue. Would I have done this if I hadn't been using the oils? Probably not. Thank goodness, we can try something different than the most common practices.

My hearing Loss with Essential Oils (Young Living)
Hello~ MnSue here again!
I have tried in the past to do the oils for hearing loss but the smell got to me so bad I quit after several weeks, about five years ago. I am trying it again and now, for whatever reason, the smells do not bother me. I also am trying another combination of oils too.
I am using Purification® and Wintergreen for my ears.
1) I go in the ear(with a qtip with a 2-3 oil drops of Purification® and V-6™ Enhanced Vegetable Oil Complex on it too)I do not go in deep, just to the bone and twirl, no further as the oils will go in themselves.
2) Next, I go around the inside of the outer ear curves, not back into the inner ear area.
3) I also go down the neck, starting from the bone down the back of the ear to my shoulder blade in front, all with the same qtip of oil. Three times for each oil. One qtip per ear, I do not use the same qtip on the other ear or a different oil.
4) I repeat this same thing for my second oil, wintergreen combined with V-6™ Enhanced Vegetable Oil Complex , after the first oil is done.
Keep in mind, I do this before bed, as the oils will go further back, when laying down on my back for a few minutes before going to sleep. Also, as the oils will plug my hearing aid, I do not do it during the day, for now. I will try this for three months and see how it works if it changes nothing I am not out anything other than my hearing loss already and then I will increase this for me, to morning and night. Besides, I am not a candidate for any surgeries, according to my doctors, so that is out and this is "in" and too me the best for my situation. I am confident I will see change of some sort with these fantastic essential oils. I do not give up. With researching and prayer, all things are possible with God, I just have to trust if it is meant that I get my hearing back, it is God's will. Will keep you posted on my results, after three months time.

Bathing with essential oils (Young Living)
Hello, MnSue again!
I am really enjoying the oils in our home. For starters, bathing with essential oils is another favorite of mine.
If new to oils and using one for the first time:
I highly recommend trying the oils out on your skin, before starting out, to see how you react before putting them in your bath, just put them on the underside of your arm, wait a few minutes and if you react, then put the V-6™ Enhanced Vegetable Oil Complex on it, or some vegtable oil(coconut, olive, sesame or whatever you have on hand) and rub it in, it will stop the sensitivity right away. I would wait on using this oil that you react too, and use others instead. Eventually you can try it again and usually be fine.
Also another recommendation is when adding essential oils to your bath, add them with a carrier of some sort (bath salts, epsom salt, bath gel) as the water is running. My favorite way is to add them to epsom salt. You can find this at just about any chain store like Walmart, Target, Cub etc. I take a handful or a 1/4 cup and drop in a drop or two of my favorite oil/oils in Epsom salt and put my hand or cup under the running water to dissolve into the tub. This way the oil does not just rise to the surface and cause a burn on your skin at the water line. You can also increase more drops of oil with your carrier, as you get used to the oils.
I have used whatever oils seem to be what my body is needing or in other words I am attracted too. Last time I used the
Purification® along with helichrysum oils in my tub. The time before I used lavender and frankincense. Each oil or oil blend has different uses and I find that they relax me and I feel fantastic afterward. Sometimes one can feel something different, as the body has it's way of getting rid of junk. Like last night, when I was ready to hop into bed, I realized the tops of my feet were itching like crazy. Enough that I worried I would scratch them raw. I just rubbed on fragrant free, organic lotion on the top and a V-6™ Enhanced Vegetable Oil Complex and it soothed it immediately. I am sure something was going on but I didn't have time to stop and figure it out. :) I was determined to get to my next step in my nightly schedule, my hearing loss and oils....for the next blog! :)
P.S. Remember to always drink water throughout the day when using oils, especially after a bath, workouts or massage!

Everyday with Essential Oils
I started using oils years ago when my daughter fell down some stairs and her ankle swelled up and she could hardly bare any weight on this leg. We had iced it and the swelling would not go down but we ended up putting “panaway” oil on it and the pain and the swelling went away. A few hours later, it started to swell again, repeated the process and again it went down. Too me, that was amazing and my daughter was able to walk on that leg with no problems after that. What an eye opener to me, about the healing process the body can do with something natural.
From this experience we have used the oils in many applications throughout the home. We have many favorites and use them multiple times throughout the day.
Lavender is an easy and great one to have around the house, for it has an all purpose use for it. It is great for laundry, sprinkle (drop or two) on the dryer vent before putting sheets in or other bedding. This is great for helping me to sleep at night, for calming my thoughts and relaxing me. You can use a different oil if you wish, another is Joy that smells great too! I burnt my hand with an over spray of boiling water from my teapot and I dryed my hand and put lavender on the raised red area. About 10 minutes later the one small red area was burning again, so I put lavender again on it, now you cannot even see the burnt area.
Another thing I noticed when I have been buying oils for others is the attraction to one oil or another by it’s smell. Right now it is frankincense (for the past two months)that I love the smell of and seem to gravitate too! Amazingly when I have looked up the oil, guess what it helps with? Depression, stress, despair, helps strengthen the vital life force energy, elevates mind and spiritual connection and balances the immune function to name a few. Wow, I think I needed help in all areas. Have I noticed a change with this one? I use more than one oil, so I cannot say 100% but what I can say is the oils have helped me in all the areas above. I feel terrific!
I have been giving out the raindrop therapy massages with Raindrop Technique® oils. I have done about 13 in the last two weeks or so. I have done one on my grandbaby, she was just amazing. She just loved it. I am not sure what it is called but one side of her head pulled and leaned over her shoulder. Too correct this, mom was told to do neck stretches on her but she didn’t like it done. After the massage, her head is perfectly straight, even two weeks later! Amazing. That is why some like to coin the Raindrop Technique® oils “chiropractor in a bottle” and after this massage, in particular, you can see why. I like the idea of doing the vitaflex along the spine area, on the bottom of the foot, as I love foot massages! To me, they are comforting and relaxing. Here are two links to the Raindrop Technique® which I started with and have added my own mix of massage into this technique. These will let you know what to expect from the massages. I am not a specialist of any sort, right now, so I do not apply the teachings that Susie Beiler does, so I only do the Raindrop Technique®
There are many tips for doing a great raindrop in those two videos, enjoy them!
MnSue leaving you with visions of the relaxing Raindrop Technique® are you ready for one? You can order here and give them to family and friends like I do too! www.youngliving.com/susans
