Free time with my family...I just love it!

Hello MnSue here!

Sometimes we just take the time away from business and have those great moments with friends and family. Last night was one of them! I went with our youngest son, Levi to watch dad and the older three brothers play hockey. Didn't get to watch too much, as a few of us ladies were having a good time chatting! :) Ever happen to you? I also wanted to capture this time in our life, that our three oldest boys were playing hockey with dad, for fun, in our church group.

 So I was able to have Crystal from Crystal Lee Photography capture this moment, in our lives. You can see how awesome they turned out;

Thanks for the great pictures, cannot wait to get them printed and framed for each of the guys!

Thanks for during such a great session with the guys, Crystal! You will do well with your passion in photography.

Being Passionate and the best YOU can be!

Hello, MnSue here!

I just have to tell you, it has been one of them days. Where your wheels are spinning in place and one is trying to do catch up on all the "little" things backing up. Trying to learn something new, everyday. Trying to keep the home fires burning and food on the table. Yes, some days can be more than enough on the plate!:)

I have just watched one of the online guru's training and had one of those "aha" moments that reminded me, "why am I here, right here in this spot, in my life?". So, I had to think about that for a moment and I realized in the training, it is to bring passion back to my life(whatever that may be), loving what I do and being the best I can be. Like the expert trainer had to say, " Did you live today, did you love today and did you matter?"  Sometimes we can get so caught up in doing everything we forget why we are here.

MnSue wants YOU to bring out the passion
and be the best YOU can be.
No matter what it is,YOU see,
otherwise, Life's Passions will pass YOU by
All because YOU didn't try!

P.S. Did you notice, it is all about "YOU"?
Go out and make it a Passionate Day!

Hello, MnSue here!

Wow, when you cannot use the oils for a few days...you really miss them! That is another blog for another day on how my oils disappeared!

In our home we love the oils and what they can do for your everyday comfort and wellness that we started on the quest for why we use them. Now, we have come up with these seven reasons to love them!

First, they are all natural and come directly from the source with no additives thrown in to dilute the concentration of the product.

Second, they work, time after time!

Third, they are easy to use, just a drop to a few on the skin or wherever you are putting them(bath, food, etc).

Fourth they are very effective in their use, therapeutic. Not much needed to get relief in whatever area you need.

Fifth, handy to carry around in convenient bottles.

Sixth, almost all of the essential oils have more than one area they work on, within the body.

Seventh but not last essential oils are very cost effective in regards to medicinal. As I mentioned earlier, a drop goes a long way!

Enjoy the Young Living Oils, as they will enrich your everyday living with all the above reasons!

Wondering where to find them? Go here, ckick here and find the products!

The 9 reasons for using Essential Oils in Your everyday life!

Hello, MnSue here! Welcome to my blog on using essential oils, everyday.

Today, it brings to mind how I have started with the oils, some years back and the experiences and benefits I have received from them. One is to see the physical and or eomtional changes in others and then also the same, in one self.  I have had such profound changes in how they have helped me, that one cannot help but be so passionate about where to go from here. Sharing my stories and letting others know why one would use the oils.

I thought for anyone out there, who has never heard of oils, this is a great topic. I once thought, "Why would anyone want to use oils? Why would someone want to put oil on their skin? Doesn't that feel greasy? Gracious, what about smelling like you rolled in a few too many perfume bottles?" I remember a good friend of mine, coming up to me and talking to me about the oils. I gave him an awful time of it." Why would I want to stink?' I asked him, having a good laugh....the last laugh is now his! That's okay, as the benefits far out weigh the smell, any day. Also, many of them I now love and cannot imagine that I once thought that!

First of all, if you are on a quest to get healthier, or the more common route of medicine is not working for whatever reason, or if you are just curious what they can do for you, in your everyday living. This discussion is for you.

If you are wanting to learn how and where to use oils, I love the Higley's book, "Reference Guide for Essential Oils" by Connie and Alan Higley. The twelfth edition just came out in 2010. They cover Young Living's therapeutic grade oils and all their other products. How to use them for a particular need or health problem. What a fantastic book, I pull it out many times a day, as it is so informational.

Using the oils can create a layering effect of benefits, to use them in  almost any form of therapy.  I was chatting with one of the ladies I know quite well at the one of the schools, my child, Levi goes too.  She mentioned when her daughter had her adenoids out that they gave a baggie of different oils to use for helping her recover and relaxing her before surgery, naturally. Wow, was I am impressed.  Also, with massage, chiropractic adjustments, other forms of hospitalization, emotional trauma and more. The list is endless, the possibilities for the powerful effects of these little drops of oils and their healing power is tremendous.

Also, for cooking. They are so easy to use and so little is needed. Young Living has a couple of cookbooks out and you can also do a search online for  essential oil recipes. I found a really good cheesecake recipe I am wanting to try out, using lemon and lavender oils. Sounds delicious!

Some people love to use the essential oils like a perfume and why not? Many of them smell fantastic and the bonus is the therapeutic side of the smell, for yourself and the others around you.

I have also heard of people diffusing the oils with diffusers or adding to water and scrubbing, to get rid of mold in their homes, on their siding of the house, driveways and more.  Again one can search online for how they have done this.

We have used oils in our home for many reasons. One of them is for acne.  The Thieves® oil spray from Young Living is fantastic, combined with lavender for soothing the skin and helping repair blemishes and scarring.

Another is for Raindrop Technique® to help rid the body of toxins, soothe the nervous system and relax the body.

I have used the frankincense oil for calming and relaxing myself. One drop to the tongue and then press your tongue to the roof of your mouth for about 30 seconds or so and then go about your day. One of my favorite oils.

I am working on my hearing issues(see another of my blogs on this), when you research oils, you can understand that they can heal many things that we have been told cannot, in traditional medicine.

Sue loves cleaning with the Thieves® cleaner, for floors, walls, windows, mirrors, counters and more. You not only know you are cleaning without chemicals, you get the therapy of the oils diffusing into the air. The smell is fantastic!
Their are hundreds and hundreds of uses out there, with essential oils. Make sure they are therapeutic grade and from a reputable company. I choose to use Young Living's product as I have done research and feel confident in the product I use.

So start by making small changes in your everyday with using oils and soon you will be amazed, just like I was with the results. Time after time, day after day.

Thank you for joining me on my blog,
MnSue leaving you with 9 reasons
out hundreds to use oils everyday
for many reasons and all seasons!

Hey ladies, do you have PMS, Fibromyalgia or migraines? This blog is for YOU!

Hello, MnSue here!

Coming off a beautiful weekend with my grandbaby, Callie and the family.  She is taking her morning nap while Nana Sue is blogging on the web! Welcome to oilstoday.com for the newbies, enjoy and would love to hear from anyone of you!

I just got done reading a short book called, "Top Health Answers for Women" by Dan Purser, MD.  Fantastic quick read an the top health issues concerning women and how to deal with them, brief overview on his background and how this book came about to help women with these issues. Then the book tells you how and what to take for the health issues.

Are you suffering with issues from menopause? How do you know? Do you have the seven dwarfs following you around? The seven dwarfs are;

1) Sweaty
2) Bloaty
3) Sleepy
4) Forgetful
5) Itchy
6) Witchy
 and
7) Psycho

I am sure, if you are in menopause, you have had one or two dwarfs following you a time or two and keeping to the shadows and persistant in not leaving you alone!

Want to avoid those dwarfs as friends?  His recommendation is preventative medicine! Why? Dr. Pursor likes to watch his patients with en eye towards preventing death and illness. Like he tells us in the book, the top four killers for women are heart attacks (coronary artery disease), breast cancer, strokes and osteoporosis.

What does this have to do with PMS, fibermyalgia and migraines? If I told you, I would give his book away and I would rather have you read it from the doc!  To me....it was a eye opener for I am little over forty and heading down that path with the dwarfs a little earlier than usual but realizing that what he says, can hasten some of these health issues, like an injury, which is what happened to me and makes perfect sense.

He lets us know that having migraines associated with menopause, is not good either, it is your body telling you..something. Yes, it is telling you, that you have restriction of blood flow to the brain! When you have restriction of blood flow to the brain, over time, what can that lead too?  Common sense tells us strokes! How about blood flow restrictions to the heart? There we have heart attacks!

Going back to his book, without giving it all away again, the book is about a half hour read and then you hear it directly from a doctor. He gives you the nitty gritty of each area and how to address it.

The main thing is ladies, is we do not get enough progesterone.  Young Livings,  Progessence™ Plus serum
is excellent, in that you can apply it anywhere and not worry about where you placed it last time and keep track of the places you have used it previously. "This new formula has frankincense oil ( to help boost the immune system) and bergamot oil to help calm and decrease postmenopausal anxiety.  The peppermint is added because the menthol helps the absorption of the progesterone molecules, and because it smells really good. " as quoted from the book.

If you noticed, I did not cover issues in the heading, as Dr. Pursor does that so eloquently in his book that I feel if I tried, I couldn't cover all of it anywhere near as good as Dr. Pursor did.

So now to read the rest of the story, email me at suesturos@hotmail.com and put in the subject line" Top "Answers for Women's Health" and in the email, I will need full name and address, I then will email you back with the cost of the book and you can then paypal the monies to my email above. It can take up two weeks for delivery, depending on where you are having it sent.

MnSue helping you get rid of your seven dwarfs!

p.s. By the way, it is good for them younger girls too in helping them just starting out in the pms stage.
p.s.s. Don't wait long, the dwarfs are persistent and can out run our energy, I know, been there and done that!

First update on my hearing....with Young Living!

MnSue here with the first update on my hearing and the use of the oils from Young Living.

This is always a tough one, to voice, for me, my friends. I have been to many doctors over the years, from the age of five on, for hearing loss.  I have accepted that I have no hearing in my right ear and that about eight years ago started losing the low frequency in my left ear. To the tune of about 20% loss in one month, the following month was 30% loss and holding since eight years ago.  I have had ear pain off and on, I have had ringing of the ears. I have had the sound of swishing water and splashing waves. I have had the sound of tires humming on the freeway for years.  Faint at times, other times like I cannot get off the road with all them truck drivers and fall to sleep, like I am on the road once again...listening to the humming of those truck tires. How did I humor myself with this one? I told myself it could be worse, I could be stuck with a lot worse noises in my head. For one, my own negative thoughts. So, I told myself, don't worry or even think about those noises in the head just think of all the good that happened today and what the next day will bring. The promises of a new day, another day, a new beginning. Also, that there is hope someday, that something will come along to help you with your hearing. I have tried different things over the years and have given up for whatever reason.

It is a little over two weeks ago and I blogged about what I am using from Young Living to help with my hearing loss titled, "My hearing loss with essential oils" on January 23rd, 2011.  My first moment was, when sitting in church one night( my hearing aid tube will sometimes pop out and it did this time). All of a sudden, I thought, am I hearing without my aid? So I pulled it out and sure enough, it was clear as a bell for about ten minutes, then it went away. I put my hearing aid back in and sat there, stunned. Amazed.  It has happened a few more times since then.  The hearing will come for a short time and fade out.  Why? Only God knows but I am not giving up.  I am going to continue what I am doing, using the Purification® and the Wintergreen oils, mixed with  V-6 Enhanced Vegetable Oil Complex.  It may be a slow process but I will continue, as I do see benefits in other areas.

For me, I have head congestion all the time, I have in the past had numerous sinus infections, yearly. I have had headaches that hurt so bad, your head wants to sit still and not move although the rest of you wants to keep moving! My ears have ached from the pressure of the congestion.  Every morning I wake up for over two weeks now, with no congestion, no pressure. This in itself is unbelievable to me!!! I periodically have ear pressure still but nothing like before. All I know, is it is helping on keeping the inflammation down, the pressure is then not so bad on my ears. To me, this keeps me going, to know with time, if even this is all the comfort I get, it is well worth it!

I am one, who does not like medicine because of what the side effects I have had from them. So when I do take something finally, it is bad. So in regards to all the head infections, over the years I found the only thing that worked before was sudafed. Everytime I had to buy it...I would just about croak, then to have to take it and swallow it, knowing the side affects was hard on me.  I am happy to say, I have not taken any in over two months now! I pray that continues!

Burning Paper Cut on Finger, cut disappeared with Lavender!

Hello MnSue here! Yes, again! You just cannot get away from me and those fantastic Young Living oils!

This morning I woke up with no cut on my pinky finger! Yes! Can you tell I am excited? Yesterday I was shuffling a bunch of papers into a pile and felt the cut go through the pinky finger. I ignored it until it started turning red on me last night and really bothering me! So right before bed, I put lavender oil on it, went to bed and woke up...gone, no sign, what so ever of this cut along the bend in the finger!

Normally it would be a few days to heal shut, right? Well, I wish I would have thought of the oil, right when it happened, to wash it and put the oil on it immediately. Now I cannot wait for the next cut to see how fast it heals!

MnSue, in leaving, says "Have a super day and don't go cutting yourself with paper, unless you have lavender on hand". ;)

P.S. You can buy lavender right here..http://www.youngliving.org/susans
P.S.S. Otherwise, you can call me to have you help order too, 763.370.2246

Has YOUR cold got you down for the count? Your nose like a leaky faucet?

Hello, MnSue here & feeling fantastic!

I woke feeling super, have you ever had one of those mornings?  I think this has been in the makings for a while, as I have gone so long with sleeplessness nights and dragging days that it is going to take a while for the body to catch up!

I want all of you to know, that since I have started using the oils more, my sleepless nights finally went to sleep themselves! In otherwords, I have a rare night that I could be up all night and beat the birds to their chirping! ;) I can feel quite confident in saying that the Young Living oils are very therapeutic for my soul! Can I give anyone of them a rave review for chasing the sleepless nights away? Not that I can think of, as I have been using quite a few of them and just love them. I know that lavender has been great help in this area but not the only oil that has worked for me.  We use them throughout the home and I have been giving raindrop techniques, which combine vita flex and massage using nine different bottles of oils with two of them being blends of many oils. I have to say, I am starting to get my life back on a even roll, even if us women ride the roller coaster of hormones.

What I was really excited to tell you, my friend, is that one of  my children is still a little skeptic on the oils, my 15 year old to be exact. The only one without having the raindrop technique and ironically the only one who has been getting sick on a regular basis since we started using oils in our home. Well, yesterday he stayed home from school and had this drippy nose that was like a faucet that needed the washer replaced!  He was going around the house like Rudolph the red nose reindeer, swiping away at the drips and mumbling about being sick. I let him do this for a while and I finally asked him if he would like some help, "Sure" he said! So, I said, the first thing is too make sure you are washing with Thieves® Foaming Hand Soap, face and hands, continually throughout the day.  Then we will proceed to the next step. In your palm of one hand pour about a teaspoon of  V-6™ Enhanced Vegetable Oil Complex (or other vegetable oil) along with one drop of each of these three oils;
Thieves®, Purification® and Lavender.
Rub with the pointer finger, of the opposite hand in a circular pattern, in the oils. Then apply all around the nose opening and behind the ears and down the throat. Whatever is left on your palm rub on your back of your neck and/or chest.  He went to bed and I didn't hear from him the rest of the night. My husband got the drippy faucet too.  He did the same thing before going to bed.  This morning, he was trying to figure out which oil was working(Mr. Engineer breaking it down to solve the problem)...I was smiling in bed, as he was telling me this, I was trying not to chuckle, and he figured out it had to be the Thieves® oil.  I wanted in the worse way to ask him, "Okay, if that is so, which oil within Thieves® worked?" but I did not want to get a discussion going, at whatever time that was, this morning. The Thieves® essential oil blend is made up of these essential oils;
Clove† (Syzygium aromaticum), lemon† (Citrus limon), cinnamon† (Cinnamomum verum), Eucalyptus radiata† and rosemary† (Rosmarinus officinalis CT 1,8 cineol).  Now do you see why I did not want to start a discussion on which one? They all are great oils for many viral or bacterial colds and more, I believe.

By the way...do you not think those oils worked for them?  Especially my husband who was trying to figure out what worked for him?  It is fun when you see what essential oils can do for your home.  For me, it is a challenge to see what will work for us. I love a challenge like this, as many oils can work in this situation. Usually one of them will do, but I was not going to wait and see. I did not want to wake up to a pile of kleenex tissues, in bed, between me and my husband, this morning. ;)

Yes, I am passionate about Young Living oils. Yes, I am passionate about helping others feel as good as one can.  Yes, I am passionate about life.  How about you?

MnSue leaving you with thoughts of what are YOU going to feel passionate today about?
How are YOU going to change YOUR day to feeling better about what YOU put on YOUR skin?

Thieves® and Acne or skin blemishes

Hello MnSue here~

Back again with the Thieves® product line. In our home, I have seen such great results with this that I just have to share!
As I have stated before, we are using the Thieves® products for acne, skin blemishes and oily skin. What we do in this home is wash with the Thieves® foaming hand soap to wash the area of concern. Then we spray the Thieves® spray on over the area after washing. I have noticed that one of the boys acne is just about gone and the other is reduced about 50% and their skin is looking fantastic and healthy.  One of them has acne scarring and now I am going to add lavender to the schedule and see how that works for them. Also one can add helichrysum for additional benefits. I like to keep it simple and see how a few of the more common ones work first and then add as needed.

To purchase those products you can go to https://www.youngliving.org/susans

MnSue leaving you with a squeaky clean Thieves® of a face!
