Are YOU Up and Down all day...and Night? Noisy too?

Hello MnSue here and wanting to share another few testimonials here!

Young Living Essential Oils (YLEO) have been a lifesaver to me and my family. I cannot stop sharing our stories and how they have helped us. So I have come to write these blogs in hopes to change others lifes, like ours!

Have you been at YOUR wits end? Almost pulling your hair out? I can relate.

Some years back I have gone through times when I could not sleep.

I go and go and go.

Restless night and day. Not just a few nights, but months of this. The first time this happened, I went to Mother's Camp through my church. I slept the night through, the first night! Amazing! I cracked the sleeplessness. I felt so enpowered and refreshed. I found out another mother there, she had gone on like this for years. I asked myself, "How can one survive like this, with no sleep?" I was at my wits end, seriously. I would try to do quiet things all night long but how can one be quiet, even walking around?

It happened a few more times. No sleep. Period.

Then I realized my pattern. It was always during a very high stress time. Multiple stressors in my life.

So glad I found relief this last time with Young Living Essential Oils! The lavender was my lifesaver! Maybe the company needs to put these into  mint candy rolls and sell them to the young and restless, hmmm? They would make a mint..no pun intended.

The Lavender was so beneficial I went on to try the Frankincense and that was another helper! It helped work on my anxiety, stress and depression. I would not go a night without putting it on my feet. It kept me sane!

I have heard from another person it kept their Alzheimer mother, calm and happy. All they did was start by diffusing the Peace and Calming in her room. Then they went on into using the lavender in her bathing, and started to use other oils to help her with the health issues. Took some weeks to get her to constantly calm but can you imagine something so simple?

So if you have some who is going through a tough time, not sleeping, combative, restless. Share this story with them. Pay it forward by passing this forward.

MnSue leaving you to pay it forward!

Skin Issues? Essential Oils to the Rescue for MnSue's Top 17!

Hello, MnSue here bringing you some more great information on Essential Oils and skin issues.

I have been using Essential Oils on and for years and never understood the power of these lovely products! All I can say, is Thank you, dear cousin for believing in me and keeping after me, to get using them. Thank you Young Living for delivering such a fine product line! As we go along reading this blog, remember I am not here to diagnose your health issues. Get the proper diagnoses and then use the proper steps to ensure the best treatment.

www.youngliving.org/susans

When you look up the many types of skin issues out there; dry, oily, acne, allergies, bruising, eczema, psoriasis and the list goes on but it tells you something about your body, giving you clues on how to address them.

Think about it, your skin helps in regulating your temperature. Your skin keeps your body hydrated. Your skin is keeping all your organs and other internal body parts from exposure to bacteria and viruses and helping them stay lubed up! Your skin also carries nerve endings to tell you what is going on...hot, cold, pain etc. Your skin has a few layers to protect you. So now can you understand just a bit, why the skin can tell one so much?

1)Bruising...can be sign of low iron, leukemia, or balance is off. Bruising can come from over the counter and prescribed medications sometimes. To help with this try Lavender, Helichrysium, Panaway, Melrose or Thieves.

2)Acne? ~ Can come from stress, hormone imbalance, all junk food diet, cleansing habits and working out. Here is a link on acne regime for my son,
http://www.oilstoday.com/2011/04/acne-essential-oils-how-to-video-with.html
We used Thieves Line and Lavender.
3) Rosacea? ~ A chronic acne like condition, which can be only currently controlled. Wash with Orange Blossom Facial Wash, then spray Lavender on before putting Sandalwood Moisture Cream. Sweating the toxins out, is good way to help control this. These oils can help with sweating; Chamomile, Hyssop, Juniper, Lavender, Rosemary and Thyme.

4) Itchy Skin? Try using Peppermint diluted with V-6.
5) Loose Skin? Patchouli as it also helps prevents wrinkles
6) Cracked Skin? Frankincense, Lavender, Myrrh
7) Rashy/Flaky Skin? Orange or Palmarosa
8) Need to add Moisture to your skin? Sage, Sage Lavender, Sensation, Valor, Vetiver, Western Cedar Wood
9) Irritated Skin? Geranium, Helichrysum, Inner Child, Jasmine
10) Need to heal Skin? Melaleuca
11) Need to regenerate Skin? Sandalwood
12) Need an Antiseptic for Skin? Myrtle

13) Chickenpox? Lavender, Melaleuca, Australian Blue, Bergamot, Eucalyptus, Sage Lavender and Roman Chamomile
14) Mumps? A viral infection, use Melaleuca, Lemon and Lavender
15) Measles? Another viral infection use Eucalyptus, Melaleuca, German Chamomile and Lavender.
16) Cradle Cap? One drop each of Lemon, Geranium, Cedarwood and mix with 2 Tbs of a Vegetable Oil.
17) Impetigo? Boil 4 ounces of water, cool. Add 5 - 10 drops of Lavender and wash infected skin with this.

Remember to dilute where necessary, especially when using with elders and children. Also test them out first, if you are not comfortable starting out with them straight. How you do skin test for the oils, is you take a drop of the Essential Oil and then put it on your underarm. Wait a minute or so. See if you react. If you do, do not wash it off! Put a vegetable oil on first over the oil then wash off! Water drives the oil in deeper so putting a vegetable oil on calms the reaction. Very few people react to essential oils in a traumatic way but this test can reassure you that you are okay with it on your skin. I have noticed, over time, that I can use essential oils that at first were overwhelming to me. All this means is your body needs to adjust and with time, try again. Many times toxins from chemicals get trapped in ones skin and they will react to any number of things, including essential oils. So have patience and work with them, one oil at a time!

Again, MnSue, leaving you to enjoy the lovely properties of Essential Oils!

P.S. Bathing with Essential Oils from Young Living can help most of those issues even more! I love to add the Essential Oils to Epsom Salt and put them into the running water into the tub for a bath!

3 Ways to Work in Essential Oils into YOUR WorkOut!

Hello All~

MnSue here! I am going to blog on Essential Oils and Exercise. Working the two in together is enpowering for the mind and body.

First, Adding it to your drinking water or work out shake.

There are so many good essential oils to add, it could make for a long read!

Peppermint ~ Energizing.
Lemon, Orange, Bergamot, Lavender ~ for calming the Nervous system
Power Meal ~ Protein Drink Mix, great with amino acids and MSM for immune support
building lean muscle tissue, organ function and metabolism
Nutmeg ~ anti inflammatory, stimulates immune function also

Just to name a few for internal.

Then there is for Pre Work Out for external body parts!

If you have areas of the body that are prone to stress out during workouts. Take care of them before you get the pain. Rub in Ortho Ease or Ortho Sport to that area along with Thieves Spray and or Panaway. You want your body to be limber and not so stressed out. One thing I love about the Thieves is it goes to work at warming up the area and also will overtime, work on restoring area's of the body that have been torn or banged up!

If you are able to set up the diffuser before working out, diffuse Essential Oils such as:

Any citrus
Motivation
Thieves
Joy
Harmony
Ylang Ylang
Present Time
 Live With Passion
Release
Peppermint
Melissa
Envision

Third, YOUR Post WorkOut!

Stretch out any stiff joints and then apply the Ortho Sport/Ease again.

 Drink plenty of water again!

Then add Thieves and a few citrus oils, to 2 ounces of NingXia Red over a few ice cubes and enjoy!

This regime works really great when doing work outs at home; yoga, weight lifting, stretches, walking, running, work out dvds and more!

Enjoy!

Staying Cool in the Sun with YLEO!

Hello, MnSue here and reminding you that despite all this nice warm weather. We need to stay cool! Oh, you already are, one cool dud or chick? Sorry I forgot for a moment, it must be the heat getting to me!

Staying cool can be a difficult thing for anyone in high temperatures. Then there is another group that it is even harder for. The real young, the elders, the handicap and certain people with different medical conditions.

Spring Chicks!

Newborns and Little Ones
I remember when my eldest was a newborn. I had her bundled up like the doctor had told me, one more layer than I was wearing. Hmmm. It was summer, it was hot and I had one more layer on her! Excuse me...but I was following directions until I felt her and she was momma's one hot chick, for that moment. Oh, my. Got her home and took her temperature and freaked out. Bathed her and kept the layers down to a "onesie" style t-shirt for babies. Called the doctor, told me to bring her in. Nothing wrong with her. I later had to think about that one more. I was a new mom, following directions and almost gave my baby a heat stroke. I felt guilty for a long time after that. I know she was born at the end of July and that is when the heat starts to pick up, here in Minnesota. That situation stayed with me for a long time. Be careful how you dress your child summer and winter and that they get enough fluids in them. Soon they will be able to talk and tell you, if they are warm or cool enough. In the mean time, don't do the silly thing I did and over dress your baby in extreme hot weather.

A trick or two for Junior
I little trick I found out to keep on top of them drinking enough water is too have them each have their own sippy cup. Watch how much they drink and encourage them to drink more, if they are not getting enough.  Half their weight = ounces in water.  Also, the skin test. When you press lightly on their skin, with your finger tips, if the skin doesn't turn back to the same color relatively quickly and stays more whiter, they need more liquid.

Adding the Mint Essential Oils can help keep the body cooler also.
Adding Peppermint Essential Oil to the water bottle daily with other Essential Oils can help on regulating the bodies temperatures, reducing fever. It also can help with headaches, stomachaches, bronchial problems, flus and more.
It also helps to keep you alert. So add it to water and see the difference. It is also good to add to water in a spray bottle, as it soothes and cools the skin.  Another of my favorites recipes is to add Essential Oils to citrus drinks.

Essential Oils Ice Drinks!

For those of you who are coffee drinkers, iced ones in particular. These mint ones make for great essential oils mixed with mocha or vanilla. The citrus ones are great with the vanilla iced coffees. Have you tried that at all? Delic!

Time to head on out to more sunshine, the fresh raspberries are calling again!

MnSue leaving you to be one cool person!

Why I chose Young Living Essential OIls for my Online Biz!

Hello, MnSue here!

Sometimes it takes a while to figure out what you want to do when you grow up. Then other times it takes a change/loss in what you were doing(one of your passions you felt you were meant to do) to take another path. Many times for the better.

And yes, I am speaking from what has happened to me. :)

I was doing what I absolutely loved. I owned and ran a gift shop in the town I live in. Then we closed the store and the building in December of 2009. Here is the site, www.rubyannas.com just so you can see the glimsp of the other side of "MnSue" and all she did. Our family put our heart and soul into the business. My goal was to get this going into a franchise after we worked out the kinks. Well, it worked the opposite. The kinks worked us right out of the building! :) I can smile about it now but then it was tough. Really tough. So tough I was fighting with anxiety and depression.

This is when one a good friend and cousin, came into the picture. She kept after me, reminding of the product I have used for years, off and on for over ten years. Knowing I wasn't sleeping at night she would ask, "have you thought of trying lavender from Young Living?".

Finally to keep her quiet, I did.

Boy oh boy did it work. So well, in fact that next I was trying Frankincense for my depression.

Going from using the essential oils periodically knowing they worked but had hang ups with them to promoting them just hit me funny. I had to laugh at myself. Here I fought the business and now I am promoting the products.

So over a period of time I looked at my options of work I could do. First I had to figure in the husbands travel, raising teenagers and helping out my daughter with the grandbaby. Which I would find an excuse anyday of the week to do! Then I listed all the things I loved to do. Then third, I listed the cost of the options of things to do.

My first and favorite option was to start the business all over again. This would take cash flow. Which we did not have enough to support the store going back up. I calculated the start up cost of just even an online store and then growing into a brick and mortar one. Oh my. Next option.

Another favorite, working from home, with network marketing. The start up costs? Very low. Now to figure out which one. Oh...that's right, Young Living was already under my nose with testimonials coming in left and right. How could I not?

There were some other options, going to get a 9 to 5 job but what about the children? There were other online businesses but the learning curve and expenses were there. How do we work this around the husbands job and his traveling with it? Not always easy with trying to work around another person's job but I knew the networking or online world could do it for me.

I dived in and haven't looked back other than to evaluate where I am and where I am going. So far, so good. The results are in. I have to keep working my online biz. I am enjoying all aspects of it other than the occasional time something goes array in the technical world!

So find a team and the company then work your biz and enjoy it!

MnSue leaving you to
 not just dream it
do it and love it!

Have YOU Pampered YOURSELF Lately?

Hello, MnSue here!

One thing we seem to forget in the midst of all this blogging, emails and business stuff, ist to just take care of ourselves! I am one of them, who when I am on a roll with whatever it is can tend to not take care of myself. I love to have down time like everyone else, not joking. The only thing is by nature, I am a nurturer! So, what do I do in down time? Take care of everyone else, as I enjoy it! Nothing wrong with that, nothing at all. Only problem is then one can get run down.

So I started thinking about all this...and it led me to a great idea. Oh, oh! When the light bulb goes off, watch out. Nothing bad but I think I am going to start a date night.

Just for myself and the bathtub.

I will mix up my favorite bath salts with essential oils. Get my candles all lined up and start this once a month, if not once a week! I used to do this all the time. I would tell the kids, "Do not disturb, Mom's down time...in the Bathtub!" They knew they cannot ask any questions threw the door, no knocking, no disturbing unless the house is on fire!  Oh my gosh, my teenage boys will call me over the silliest things with their dad in the same room. While I am out running errands or something. I have told them...you have to learn that if you need to call me, then the answer is going to be a "no" if you cannot ask dad, in the same room. Way to funny? That's okay. I just go with the flow and laugh at them. Why not? I am sure I would have done the same thing growing up, if my mom had a cell on her too! ;) Or would I have? Hmmm.

So remember to pamper yourself once in a while, whatever "pampering" is too you!

To make the bath salt, I love to take a cup of Epsom Salt and add whatever essential oils I am in the mood for. Many times, lavender (as this is so good for the skin and healing). Usually a citrus one as they are great mood enhancers. In the evening I don't take the "mint" ones as they will wake you up! Do whatever suites you and then mix them up and throw in the bath as it is filling up the tub. I usually end up with about 5 to 10 drops of something in the mix.

Otherwise you can also do this for just a foot or hand soak! :) Carry in a baggie and put them in the water when getting a pedicure or manicure at a salon.  I just love bathing with the essential oils. How about you?

Summer Allergies? Coughing and Sneezing?

Hello, MnSue here with Young Living Essential Oil's.  Enjoying life despite the periodic coughing from allergy drainage. I can imagine the first thought of many of you, that do not understand how natural products work.

First of all, no one person can be immune to all things, no matter what path you choose. Natural or otherwise. :) When we are all bombarded daily by different area's in our life from chemicals in the air to foods we eat and drink and of course there is dat dreaded "s" word, stress. It takes time and I do mean time, to get a regime that works for each one of us, with the toxins our body needs to get rid of. I can say, I have been using essential oils for quite a while now and not had to use over the counter or prescribed meds. This I have been thankful for!

If one has not been taking care of your body for years, can you expect it to change for the better overnight? We can get our body healthier so over time, we have less health problems.

So recently I was camping in Michigan. Within a couple of days, my allergies were acting up. My throat was raw and coughing. My voice was coming and going. I was trying lavender, I was using Frankincense. I was using Breathe Again. Eucalyptus and many of the citrus ones. I was getting relief for a few hours to about five and then I would be bombarded with the coughing. Then I realized I had left my diffuser at home and would love to have had a raindrop done, right about then! Who in the world could give me a raindrop on vacation? So...later I realized, you will have to wait until you get home, call up one in the group and get one done! On with the fun, I couldn't be bothered anyway, it was just allergies. :)

Well,  we get home...and as you all know, after camping with a little bit of rain mixed in makes for some damp and wet clothes. Soon I am working on cleaning out the camper, next I am washing the clothes(remember we had three boys along on the trip, three growing boys) so just a few pairs of jeans filled the washer! So about ten loads later and I realized, I haven't called anyone for a raindrop. Now it's too late too call! Off to bed!

Next morning I wake up, now it is 'catch up' time with business. Oh my. Hundreds of emails, dozens of calls and a few written blogs later. I still haven't done it!

Us mothers, we need a personal assistant some days, if not everyday!

Okay, I promise you, I will call someone in the group tomorrow for a raindrop.

Only after I am done baking, dozens of donuts. Oh, by the way my grandbaby is coming in the morning also. So throw the fun in there too. Hmmm, maybe I can teach a 15 month old how to dial the phone and call for me? She does, after all love cell phones. She does already love to listen on them, after she punches the buttons. She is just so professional at such a young age! After all she can say "hi" but only problem is she only waves "goodbye" which you cannot hear on the other end of the phone. So, I will have to wait a bit to show her the ropes to be my personal assistant. :)

Yes, so the moral of this story is...if you struggle trying to find anyone oil to work, if all else fails, do the Raindrop! I cannot wait, I love giving them and even better yet, love receiving those Raindrops too! So yes, I promise you, I will schedule one, after all it only takes a few minutes to call, like really!

Will keep you posted with how it all goes!

MnSue leaving you to sweet dreams!

As Summer Time Passes By.....

Hello, MnSue here!

I am so thankful for all the family and friends I have. It seems that life can take on a mind of it's own. :) This summer has been another busy one. My daughter from California came home for three weeks in June. During this time we celebrated our third childs graduation along with two of his cousins. My husband and I, we had our 22nd Anniversary on the 10th of June. We just got back from a ten day vacation in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, from Tourist Park in Marquette to my all time favorite campground, McLain State Park near my husband's place he grew up, Houghton, Michigan! Yes, the home of "Michigan Tech". :) Where he graduated from in Mechnical Engineering, 17 years ago!

Always fun to travel but also fun to come home and appreciate your own bed and the roof over one's head!

Hard to believe, that we are almost half way through the month of July. Where does that time go? It is just like the sand that passes through your fingers on the beach. Way to fast!

I have been having this allergy cough and trying to figure out when it started. I think it came from being around the campfire. I do so love campfires. I love to day dream into the fire and watch the wood crackle and snap! I love to poke at the wood and see the glow from underneath. Makes life seem so simple. Just relaxing on a camp chair, feet kicked back and life is just glorious! The trees whispering in the background, the water lapping at the sands gently, tenderly. The sun going down, all aglow on the water and your thoughts are miles away.

So much so, that you just about fall asleep until the bug bites!

A gentle reminder, time to sleep the night away but in your bed instead of the camp chair.

Visiting with friends and family, at the campgrounds and their homes. Just remembering the fun times. The laughs, the silly things that kids say, the games played. The fireworks.

The smiles, the shared time. Three of my boys with dad on the Quincy Mine Tour.

Take time, away from business to just be there for your family. The business will grow, and your business friends will value you more for the family time you take. So don't let it go...until it is too late. My grandbaby Callie and I by the campfire! So fun to have her and mommy Kara with!

Make the memories, while you can
Summer is fading fast
Enjoy the lovely moments
and make them last.
